Welcome to
                                        Plant A Row in Minot
                                                                      You Can Make a Difference

Launched in 1995 by the Garden Writers Association of America in Alaska (and in 2008 in Minot by two Girl Scouts), the Plant A Row program was developed to encourage gardeners everywhere to grow a little extra and donate  the produce to local programs that serve people in need.  Success of Plant A Row hinges on a people-helping-people approach, something North Dakotans do so well. You can help by planting an extra row of vegetables and donating the extra produce to one of our local food banks or soup kitchens.   Minot food pantries currently serve about 750 families each month; Minot soup kitchens feed 40-100 people at each meal served.
