Kase Knepp--cheese Buttons

4 Cups Flour
1 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
3 Tablespoons Dry Milk
3 Eggs, Slightly Beaten
3/4 Cup Water
2 Tablespoons Melted Shortening
4 Cups Dry Cottage Cheese
2 Tablespoons Flour
1 Teaspoon Salt
2 Tablespoons Sugar
3 Eggs, Beaten
1/4 Cup Cream
Sift together flour, salt, baking powder and dry milk. Add the eggs, water and shortening.
Knead until smooth. Divide into four parts, cover and let dough rest one half hour. Roll
each ball of dough into a 12 inch square. Cut each square into 9 equal squares. Put 1
Tbsp. cheese mixture in center of each square of dough. Fold into a diamond shape,
pinch edges together. Drop into boiling salted water, boil slowly 15 to 20 minutes. Drain.
Brown cubes of bread in butter and pour over drained knepp.
