Review and Ratings

First off I don't know why Squaresoft would use Final Fantasy on the title of this game due to the fact it plays nothing like any other Final Fantasy game. I suppose it may help influence more people on buying this game with the title Final Fantasy. Although this game doesn't need much influence to be purchased because it is a great game in its own right. First off the plot of this game is wonderfully made. It features everything wrong with mankind today and it really hits home. The music adds feel for the game. The music rivals some of the best game music to date. The 2D and 3D graphics are mixed and look great. Although not as good as Final Fantasy 7 It's far from anything to complain about. There are a few downsides like for one the translation. When the game was translated from Chinese some parts of the game became confusing and not well worded. Although this doesn't bother me much a lot of people have complained about it and it's something to mention. Another downside is that the loading time is often slow and happens multiple times in the game. The battle engine is pretty complex and hard to explain. It uses more strategy that allows you to develop characters in different ways, such as you can develop some characters using magic or power it's all up to you. Overall once you understand the battle engine it's challenging and fun to play. Even with the downsides this game is well worth buying and keeping for your RPG collection.
