Funding and Local Support

Community Action receives its core funding from the Department of Energy, the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, Community Services Block Grant, the Emergency Food Assistance Program, and Housing and Urban Development as well as other Federal, State and local support.

We periodically organize fundraising activities for specific needs throughout the year. We also refer individuals and families to other human service agencies for specific programs that Community Action does not offer.
