At
First Baptist Church we believe that children need to be challenged to an
adventurous
life in Christ.
We believe there are fun and appropriate ways to teach children and help
them to remember
important values
from the lessons.
To do that, we are providing a time of song and worship geared toward this
adventure, known as KidVenture. During KidVenture there are several Biblical
stories and concepts we will teach the children. Through singing and most
importantly, the worship time, children will learn to focus on God and how to
develop a trusting and loving relationship with Jesus. During KidVenture
children will discover God’s greatness and learn how to trust God through any
difficult task.
We at First
Baptist Church believe each child is a unique and special gift from God and
are passionate about
fulfilling Christ’s command in Matthew 10:14. Jesus told His disciples, “Let
the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of
heaven belongs to such as these.” Just as your children have a place in the
heart of Jesus, they have a place in the heart of First Baptist Church.
The mission of
First Baptist Church Children’s Ministries is to provide a caring and loving
environment for all children. We desire to be a place where children learn they
are special and very important in God’s eyes and experience unconditional love.
KidVenture Mission Statement:
§ Teach children Biblical truths and principles in age-appropriate ways.
§ To encourage and provide opportunities to see God at work in their world and lives.
§ To provide age –appropriate opportunities for service in God’s kingdom.
§ To enlist, train and support lay ministers who take God’s Word and our responsibility to teach children seriously.

Heidi Zaderaka Heidi has a passion for working with children and has served in several different childrens programs over the last 15 years. Heidi is married to Dean and they have a daughter, Hannah, who is 3. As a family, they are excited that God has brought them to First Baptist to minister. They love to do recreational activities together and spend time at the lake. Besides spending time with her family, Heidi also enjoys running, biking, and flower gardening.
